I think the new FTC regulations are definitely a step in the right direction. Particularly because it goes beyond bloggers to people like celebrities, too. I know personally I'm not concerned about myself (I'm pretty sure I've always differentiated whether my review of something is something I've bought, won in a giveaway or was sent by a company for free to sample). I'm more interested to see how celebrities endorse products (i.e. I love fill-in-the-blank resort after staying free for 4 nights and I now recommend it.)

I'm also a Splenda addict. They should really have meetings for this sort of thing.

Okay, I'm not gonna talk about the food here, because I think I might just drown in my own drool. Oh boy!

Anyway. About the FTC guidelines. I think it can be a pain in the ass for some, but I personally think it's a GREAT idea. Right now, the mechanism of journalism is shifting (not sure if I used the right word) and the power of the pen is being held by every single common citizen. And honestly, the power of the written word is pretty damn impressive and big, and whether you are a professional or not, everyone should abide by the morals and ethics that come with journalism. That's my two cents!

Dios mio, chica. I thought your lil' bloggie would be all fixed by now. I'm so sorry. Don't worry, you are not alone. I still can't upload pics and thus, don't feel like I can post a blogworthy post. Que lastima!

That Greek Chicken Salad looks unbelievable! As for FTC, I work in the health-care industry where everyone is concerned about conflict of interest (which docs are getting money from which pharma company). I say it's better to come clean now rather than pay the price later. If you reveal upfront that you received a sample in your blog than it's very hard to argue that you're doing anything shady.
